Everton needed a win today, as they were in the bottom three of the Premier League. However, Leicester had other plans and tried to stop them from winning. After a penalty was scored by Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 15th minute, Everton wanted to get another goal quickly. However, Leicester’s Çağlar Söyüncü and Jamie Vardy went on to score two goals at the 22nd and 33rd minute marks. Right before half-time started, Everton fans had bad luck again when one of their starters, Séamus Coleman, ended up getting injured after colliding with Leicester’s Boubakary Soumaré and twisting his knee. Coleman has been unlucky with injuries, such as his fractured leg injury in March 2017. This has Everton fans worried about his future. With Coleman being stretchered off the field, Everton came back with a quick goal in the 2nd half, which was scored by Alex Iwobi in the 54th minute. This rescued them as they still gained a point for the standings. However, both Leicester and Everton remained in relegation trouble, as no more goals were scored and the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Leicester moved out of the bottom three, but Everton remained a point behind and needed a win against two of their hardest matchups this season: Manchester United and Brighton. We will see if Everton can make it out.
