For the fifth time in the last eight years, LeBron and Curry will go head to head in the playoffs, but this time it’s a little different. This is the first time in playoff history that LeBron and Curry will play each other in the Western Conference playoffs.

With Curry’s 50-point game and LeBron’s Lakers winning by 40, both teams are entering this matchup with some steam! With stars such as Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson shooting under 35% from the field in their last three games combined, the Lakers’ defense could make them struggle even more. They need their shooting to turn around if they want to compete. We saw this struggle in the Grizzlies’ Game 6 matchup, which featured great shooters like Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks shooting 5/16 and 4/11, respectively.

However, the Lakers have let many shooters heat up out of nowhere, which could help the Warriors. For example, in Game 4 of the Lakers vs. Grizzlies series, Ja Morant had scored 24 points in a row in the fourth quarter, and it was becoming dangerous for the Lakers to handle.

This matchup will be very interesting to see. The Lakers have a great team overall, but can the Warriors overcome the odds and beat them? Will Curry show LeBron who the better player is? On Tuesday, May 2nd, we will see who is really better.
